Wide open poet, a little like the Qupe Marsanne, not quite as deep and rich, though — 4 years ago
Feel like I haven’t loved the Qupe in the past but this one was great. Couldn’t tell it from a reserve cab. Inky color and restrained fruit I don’t associate with Syrah. Maybe the age? J detected a note of “soap” on the front end but I didn’t...and she doesn’t like the reserve cab style so think I’m not off the mark. Would never have guessed 14.5% — 5 years ago
— a year ago
One of the oldest in my cellar, this 2012 Grenache was acquired from the Qupe wine club. Great after immediately opening and got even better after breathing. Would have liked a little more fruit upfront but balanced tannins provided a smooth and solid finish. — 5 years ago

More to come as my brain cells recover... — 7 years ago

— 4 years ago
Light for a cab but interesting & complex. A gary wine — 5 years ago
If only I could get my hands on the 16 La Verdad, but this will do,
2016 Myriads & Carter’s @Mike Smith are all fantastic!
3-4 hour decant recommended to truly enjoy — 7 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Pale lemon color with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits with floral notes. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot, melon and citrus zest. Medium finish ending with fruit, lively acidity and slight spicy floral mineral character. — 10 months ago
