Nice wine to drink for the end of the day. Full bodied and flavorful — 2 years ago
Funky, fun and well balanced wine. Chamomile tea, apple, and grasses. Reminds me of Spanish ciders and was so good with grilled Tiger Prawns. — 7 years ago
Pale gold color. Pronounced aromas of ripe apple, white peach, blossom, vanilla, brioche, a hint of honey. Medium acidity, medium+ body, pronounced flavor of ripe lemon zest, ripe yellow apple, vanilla, white pepper, hint of green leaves. Long finish.
Intense, balanced. Very good. Drink now, has potential . — 8 years ago
Silky, subtle red fruits, a little herbal earth but very delicious. — 9 years ago

Even better balanced than in 2018! More mature complexity coming through and long finish. — a year ago
Amazing bottle of wine! Red red fruit, medium tannin and acid, great finish. — 3 years ago
Probably my favorite inexpensive (and most purchased) Chardonnay of 2020. Great bang for the buck. — 5 years ago

Excellent Syrah. $14.99 at Grocery Outlet and it tasted like it was $40 wine. Had it with a spicy curry dish and it performed well. — 8 years ago
The usual Cab Franc aromas of tea, olives, and herbs but with more fruit on the nose than I expected. Well put together wine with some nice acidity and structure. Nothing light and fluffy on the palate, it's all dark and earthy. Raspberries, earth funk, bay leaves, and just the right amount of oak. — 10 years ago
White flower, lemon balm, fresh hay, toasted seeds, jasmine and mineral on the palate. Wicked good. — 7 years ago
Château La Vieille Bergerie Quercus Pecharmant Rouge 2015, France
It's Thursday and it's time for #MerlotThursday. Here is a nice French Merlot blend.
Dark ruby in color with a dirty purplish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, dried figs, tobacco, vegetables, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, peppercorn, dust and vinaigrette.
Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, blueberries, wood, cloves, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, light vegetables, leather, earth, peppercorn, pencil lead, spices and bitter herbs.
Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice surprise. A bold French blend with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Still young, from a great vintage, and 5 years in the bottle will make it better. Too bad we didn't have enough patience... 😃
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins and structure.
Thank you, Eric, for sharing this with me.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
