Black Dalmatian Plavac Mali 2021

My first time with Plavac Mali. This wine is from Dalmatia (duh!) A lot of spice on the nose. Bright red cherry flavors, tart. Bit of sweet tobacco and powdery tannins. Very light bodied. A fun alternative to Barbera.

Crisp, amazing. Love everything from miloš but particularly this and their standard plavac. Very hard to find in the US - I ordered this after visiting their beautiful winery in Pelješac. Bravo!! — 2 months ago

Vrhunsko Bijelo Pošip 2021

Flavorful and unique wine. Similar to Friulano with a larger number of flavors and surprisingly complex. Starts out with dried apricot, then molasses, and ends with mild lemon similar to a Sauvignon Blanc. Great Summer wine. Good with mozzarella and tomatoes. — 3 years ago

Marica Plavac Mali 2018

100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink — 3 years ago
