Big, Brooding, Dark and Brawny Red. Aromas of black cherry, smoke and menthol. Very “minerally” on the palate, along with organic flavors of earth, black pepper and mushrooms. Faint Dark cherry and plum fruit flavors can be detected on the long finish. This one stays with you a while. Soft tannins and very dry. Extremely Old World in nature. Needs time and air to open up. 27.10.2023 Pfaffle Sand Muskateller is an amazingly aromatic wine. Crispy and easy to drink with good oysters. Though this occasion was not the case, I organized a tasting at my work and it was greatly appreciated. This moment was desired since last Friday, when the tasting didn't happen for some reason.

Real discovery - this winery at 25 minutes from Vienna centre makes consistent wines. Good minerality in all their Veltliners and this Hommage is their top wine from oldest vineyards and best parcels.
