Favorite wine when wine tasting in israel and did not disappoint. Big juicy black fruit with well integrated tannins and good length. Very yummy. 1 more bottle. — 4 years ago

Matar by Pelter Petit Verdot 2016, Israel
#kosherWineSunday
Inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose with blue and black fruits, light oak, tobacco, coffee, metals and spices.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, crushed peppercorn, espresso, spices, herbs, light earth and black tea.
Short tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This 7 year old Petit Verdot from Israel is still drinking nicely. Rich and tangy with a soft mouthfeel. Spicy with nice complexity.
Showing black fruits on the mid palate, and very tangy on the finish.
Interesting.
Intense, and better with food. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
100% Petit Verdot grapes from the Jerusalem Mountains were aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels. Kosher.
14.3% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

This 4 year old Petit Verdot from Israel is drinking very nicely now. Big and bold with medium acidity.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with black fruits, wood, vanilla, licorice, spices, earth, tobacco, peppercorn, cloves, pencil lead, dark coffee and dark chocolates.
Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. Well balanced and good by itself or with food.
Would be very nice to pair it with a nice juicy burger and fries. I had it all by itself.

Damp leather and dust on nose. Classic syrah open with bright dark fruit, a touch more oak than I like and almost refined tannins. Nice and long but finish gets a bit harsh. Would be hard to tell it's not from France. Thank you Yuval Barak — 9 years ago
Kosher from Golan Heights. Dry but borderline off dry (a shocking 11.6% alc). Crisp, balanced, low fruit and acid. Calls to mind Albariño. Becoming too sweet as it warms up. — 9 years ago
Sagee Aran
Probably one of the best Bordeaux blend I have tased. CS, M, CF, PV. 30 month in oak. At its peak, great dark color, the nose is mild but the pallet is vigorous. Very balanced and tasty, from the Golan Heights.
