Special barrel select. Raspberry and dark fruit with violet and cassis. Fine tannin with savoury note and a slight bitter finish. Hint if spice and lightness overall — 9 years ago
Super light in colour, round in texture but fruit is light, lots of alcohol on the finish. — 9 years ago
Awesome body and structure. Great length and a touch spicy. — 10 years ago
Excellent aroma yet fresh. A little too sweet? — 11 years ago
Meh, esp for the price. Delicate. Filigree red fruit. Light to Med bodied. — 3 years ago
A good Pinot.

Of around 15 or so wines tasted over the last weekend on the Mornington Peninsula Victoria, this was the standout. Mid Gold at 12 years of age. Funky leesy aromas with notes of almond meal, grilled nuts in general. On the palate stone fruit, white peach and great length and intensity. Would give most Premier Crus and the odd Grand Cru a run for their money. Tried to buy a dozen but ended up this was their last bottle at the winery. 🙁 — 9 years ago
I will buy this again. Nice oak, vanilla and black berry jam but with a sparkly effervescent dance on the sides of the tounge. Stands well alone. But doing good with a cheese and bread plate too. — 10 years ago
Great wine, very forward but not gruff. Great depth and length. — 10 years ago
I discovered this saturated ruby '01 Paringa Shiraz 'Individual Vineyard' buried in the recesses of my cellar. Somehow it was never logged into my inventory. Although it ranked 40th on the 2002 Wine Spectator Top 100 List, it was an entry-level wine not meant for extended cellaring. What a pleasant shock when I lifted the decanter to my nose. Huge cherry, blackberry and oaky vanilla scents floated up. Then a plush palate of dark fruit and spice flavors followed. Best $10 I've ever spent! — 11 years ago

Very herbal and spicy on the nose. Black pepper, dried basil, Asian spice. More red than blue fruit on the palate. Herbs and spices on mid palate. Med+ acidity, med- tannin. On the soft side. Elegant and drinkable. — 5 months ago
