Riserva Dei Padre Serviti 2018. Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, leather, red berry; on the palate, cherry, plum, leather, oak. Strong tannins. Finish of cherry and vanilla. The more it opened up the more balanced it became. Notes of anise and florals presented. Tannins calmed. Much more balanced, full bodied. Powerful. — 4 months ago

Excelente este Carmelo Romero Reserva 2010 degustado en el Día del padre 2010. Color con algo de evolución, brillo y limpidez presente. En nariz frutos rojos confitados y en mermelada junto a tabaco, cacao y especias. Vino con excelente bouquet y estupenda conservación 9 años después de su cosecha. 2018 Vintage: shockingly approachable right out of the gate. The tannins were nicely integrated and there was a richness and “heft” to the palate that reminded me of Chambertin…but this is most certainly Barolo and not Burgundy — a month ago
