Plain label. Not indicative of a ‘fine’ wine. Bottle is Syrah-esque though. Lovely dark color. Blackish purple. Smells like earth, mineral oils, smoky plums and sage. Flavors are complex. Licorice, black fruits, olives, mocha, mint and sagebrush. I think it’s actually got plenty of the famous garrigue that I’ve heard so much about. This is a lovely Syrah and Grenache blend with class and character. — 6 years ago

Last evening in Vegas with my son. Just he and I enjoying some QT together at Mon Ami Gabi. Wow. This delivered big time with an amazing steak frites. Earthy funk, dark red/blue fruit, flowers. Airtime opened it up to a full bodied dark red fruited beaut with svelte tannin grip, fantastic mouthfeel and length. A stunner and one of the better Bordeaux’s I’ve had in quite some time.
