The Left Bank Red Blend 2014

Dark and supple. Taste of blackberries with mild black pepper aroma. Virtually no tannins it’s smooth to sip or pair with something light ... or even pizza. 😊 casual, unpretentious and tasty. — 2 months ago

Delicious acidic green apple flavored Chardonnay. Lighter in color and flavor then the Chard I'm use to. Drinks beautifully! — 6 months ago

Vintage Brut Champagne Blend

First official bottle of Champagne for me. Light fruits and crisp taste of fresh apples. Very light and such an easy drink. Highly recommend. First camping trip with the new camper and celebrating with this bottle. Thanks Neil! — 2 months ago

Welcome to the club! A “go to” choice, even as a big production producer

Windblown Texas High Plains Red Blend 2017

MY First Texas wine :) yes, this is a collaboration - multi vineyard build, but it is a winner! 24 Mourvèdre, 22 petite sirah, 23 carignon, 21 cinsault, 10 Grenache... with Southern Rhône in its viewfinder, this perfect-pizza-pairing blend is medium-weighted with humble tannins...just enough dark berry acid and a velvety presence. Very solid $25 in hand from Neil at Field and Main in Marshall — 5 months ago

Domaine Fabien Coche

Rouge Meursault Pinot Noir 2015

Nose has bright red cherry, ripe tart cherry, tree bark/vine stems, ripe plum, semi-moist soil, moist chalk and mashed black cherry.

Palate has over-ripe cherry, dried tart cherry, dried cranberry, smoked anise, moss, dried blackberry, bright acidity, beautifully earthy textures and slightly drying finish. Delicious.

An interesting tasting experience, Meursault is only planted to about 4-5% Pinot Noir, so finding one is a challenge to say the least.

Decanted 3 hours, still needs more time in bottle and decanter. I'd love to see this in 5-6 years, unfortunately our only bottle.

I might be able to get a newer vintage, I'll hunt next week back to my original source.

Felton Road

Block 3 Central Otago Pinot Noir 2010

Love this quote from Neil Martin from The Wine Advocate - “Whenever there is a tasting designed to challenge the supremacy of Burgundy, it is usually Felton Road that is ushered into the ring. “. This wine never disappoints. Aromatics of Beetroot, Plums, Sous Bois, Herbs and violets. Sweeter than expected on the palate. A new world twist on Gevrey Chambertin. Medium plus bodied but still a suave Pinot Noir with silky tannins. I will seek out the just released 2019s which Felton Road says “Text book Block 3 that is potentially one of the greatest. “ — 3 months ago

Domaine Fabien Coche

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2015

Nose has lightly toasted brioche, recently washed lemon, lemon pith, dry limestone, pineapple core and yellow apple peel.

Palate has lime pith, squeeze of lemon juice, slight waxy notes, pulverized limestone and lingering ripe tropical fruits.

Medium finish, feeling like the concentration is coming up short, still enjoyable. 90m decant, we'll see how it evolves over the evening.

(Soured 100% from Meursault, seven separate vineyard plots.)

It's sitting on our porch, 55°F out there, so decent service/decant temperature.

Was your source Garagiste? My bottles have been hit or miss (mostly miss) with a weird orange juice concentrate thing (heat damaged?)

@Aravind Asok No, one of my local retailers. Stop storing all your bottles on top of the range hood!😝
