While Lapierre’s 2016 Morgon doesn’t quite reach the heights of the 2015, it’s still ridiculously delicious. The wine pumps out a vivacious perfume of lavender pastille, ripe raspberry, and crushed rock, and does it with enough moxie (and balance) that’ll convince you it’s just the right brett influence. Everything translates through to the palate, and finishes with a salty, savory, juiciness that’s both punchy and mouthwatering. Sofa king good! — 8 years ago

Two rare things combined: 1) a stunning California Viognier 2) Viognier in a can: fresh apricot, white nectarine, white flowers, key lime, mineral notes and lots of moxie. Not your grandmother’s perfume. The Maker label was conceived by two visionary young women (on the zoom call) and the Viognier is from the team at campovida. Cheers to more serious winemakers giving the can a try — especially when it comes to aromatic, fruity whites. Great for the outdoors, fits neatly in a purse, more sustainable and cost effective. Hooray for single serving sizes :) — 6 years ago
This wine makes you want to grab a puppy and your lover and dance in the rain until you are dripping and drunk! This fruity wine is so fun to drink on any adventure. — 8 years ago
This wine proves to me that if you think white wines are boring, it might be that you haven't had the right whites. I'm not all about finding excitement by searching out unlikely match-ups in region- varietal - style either. .. so what an I getting at here? The wine is freaking great and intriguing and on the inside is worth the moxie it flaunts on the outside. Every vintage varies slightly in the blend and with this 2014 it's 45% tocai friulano, 35% malvasia bianca and 20% ribolla gialla. Each of these characteristically Northern Italian grapes comes from Heritage Vineyard sites in Sonoma County and is masterfully guided into an artful blend by Enrico Bertoz, a native of Friuli himself. Lose yourself in a few bottles of this and don't bother coming back to another insipid boring uninspired mass produced excuse of a white wine ever again. — 10 years ago
The Loire Valley has come to be a place to go for real solid Sauvignon Blanc. Touraine is a place near Sancerre which has some of the best Sauvignon Blanc in the Loire and Touraine is showing its moxie. I picked up the 2018 Domaine des Corbilliéres Touraine Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose is very expressive fruit, lots of peach, lime, grapefruit, nectarine, white flowers, vanilla, pie crust, minerality and wet rocks.
The palate has notes of lime, peach, nectarine, grapefruit, minerality and wet river rock.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity that follows with a long fresh crisp finish. The weekend is upon us, so please be safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 7 years ago
2011. I don't go in for overly figurative tasting notes but this wine's got moxie, character. It knows what it's about. Others mentioned nebbiolo, but from the Hellenic side of the street. I agree, and with the Greek element comes some brio, some spunk. A wink and a conspiratorial smile. Let's cut to the chase: I really like the wine. $29. 13.5% abv. — 9 years ago

Aromatic, full bodied, dark color, thin legs and fast moving, bitter and I’m in the mood for it! It’s been one hell of a day. Dining at Moxie in Whitefish Bay WI, June 2023. — 3 years ago
