Lots of cherries and earth. Fairly strong alcohol on the nose. — a month ago
The 2021 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru was bottled the previous May. It is still obdurate and backward on the nose with touches of yellow fruit and a hint of white peach. The palate is taut and fresh, very saline, but perhaps it doesn't quite deliver the knockout finish I expected from barrel, hence my slightly lower score. Still a serious Chablis, though. Bright light golden color. Fragrant aromas of baked apple and pear along with notes of white flowers and wet stones. The palate is full of apple, pineapple and orange flavors. Hint of baking spices on the very long and chalky finish. Quite full bodied, intense and powerful. Rich and concentrated mouthfeel. Thanks Kase! — a month ago

Solid performance at an accessible price point within the category. This is a powerful expression of GC with grippy tannin that will settle down in the decanter. Excellent balance of primaries and secondaries with tertiaries starting to emerge. Great to drink now with some air or prime to age for another decade plus. — a month ago
Lots of tropical fruit on the nose, crisp, acidic. Excellent. — 4 months ago
