Brambly, blackberry, red fruit forward with some meatiness lurking behind, cinnamon, star anise, kicking acidity, long finish; a bit thinner than expected, but not in a detrimental way; a little hot. I mean, really long finish…unique, cool wine — 2 years ago
Gorgeous unique — 3 years ago
Abstract: Grenache, petite sirah and Syrah. Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, berries, plum, leather, cocoa. On the palate, berries, plum, chocolate, full body, long finish. May like this one better than Palermo even. — 9 months ago
Pink quartz color. Relatively dry. White peach and cantaloupe nose. Salted Walter melon and lime zest taste. Drank at Bochum Fuoco in our very last night in Italy/Palermo. — 2 years ago
A captivating display of blackberry, plum, grilled herbs, cedar dust and balsamic spice wafts up from the 2016 Mille e una Notte. It’s silky in texture and polished in feel, offering ripe black fruits lifted by cooling minerality. This remains tightly wound up in its youthful state, as a fine coating of sweet tannin settles in to create a structured finale, with pretty purple-tinged florals and hints of licorice lingering long. The 2016 may be one of the most refined expressions of Mille e Una Notte that I’ve ever tasted, but it will need some time to show its best. This is composed primarily of Nero D'Avola, Petit Verdot and Syrah, which is expertly refined in new barriques for 14 months. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2021)

Delicious red fruit yet complex with some tannins — 10 months ago
Nice concentrated golden color. In the nose melon, ananas, mango, and tropical fruits. On the palate extremely aromatic with strong taste of ripe melon, peaches, candied fruits. Really nice balanced wine , soft tannins, high acidity and nice minerality. Amazing wine. Bought from Palermo 13,5€ — 2 years ago
A blend of mostly Nero d'Avola adding some Petit Verdot, Syrah and a few other grapes. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, sweet notes and spicy scents. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry, currant like, with notes of cacao, licorice and sweet spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, tobacco and sweet earthy character. Very nice! — 2 years ago

Dark fruit, especially currents in the nose with black cherries and currents with a hint of red fruit. The 2021 drank in 2024 needs some decanting to open up the full flavor. — 9 days ago
