If you look closely on the bottle you will see Mikes signature written in gold pen. He signed some of the bottles from our case as a momentous occasion — 7 years ago
The momentous day a solid Cabernet girl got converted...
2012 Basket Press Shiraz. The only wine swallowed all day and seconds requested.
Light bulb moment.
3 bottles bought = most Shiraz ever... — 8 years ago
Good white blend. Enjoyed it to celebrate a momentous occasion. Not sweet and not too dry. Delicious. — 4 years ago
Celebrating a momentous birthday and it did not disappoint. — 6 years ago
Madeline and cornbread entry succumbs to rice paper smoke aromas and flint-strike nose. Lemongrass, ginger and smoke emerge momentous and peaty in the middle with caramel and hazelnut oil fringes. Depth for leagues, and a clean-up-set finish with chive and nutmeg, brown sugar and lemon oil. — 9 years ago
Light for a cab but amazing for a warmer night. This is so easy to drink! — 4 years ago
Another Nebb I was forced to pay attention to as it was paired with one of the courses during dinner. Bigger than the 14' Cascina Fontana - perhaps even the biggest red of the night, but somewhat not unexpected for the vintage. Nevertheless, it's still elegant and polished. Palate was full of dry sweet red fruit and spice, balanced by a clean racy finish and dense minerality. Nose was driven by sweet berry notes, some orange oil, leather, pepper, dried herbs, balsamic. Gripping tannins. Muscular, but finessed. A momentous effort. As expected of CW's choice!
NB: Macerated for 30 days and then aged in large Slavonian Oak (20 HL to 40 HL) for two years, followed by two more years in the bottle. Annual production is usually around 4000 bottles. The write-ups on Chambers St Wines and Vinhulen are nice reads - Ferdinando's change from modern to traditional, to eschewing chemicals in the vineyard and even letting the undergrowth run wild, to the "greatness" of Boscareto. Excellent discovery! — 5 years ago
Living up to its known for being "Lord of the Vines". To those who adore a momentous affiliation of rustic and refinement, this is your match. Incredible. — 9 years ago

Double decant and pour. A momentous dark garnet color. On the nose: beautiful notes of forest floor, some red plum/cherry, woodsy, nutmeg, mushrooms. Taste: smooth, creamy, balanced, drinking well full body savory pinot with raspberry, earth, lemon rind, crushed river rocks, minerals, touch of blueberry, and a smokey slightly tobacco medium plus finish. Nice start to the weekend! — 3 years ago
