The 2020 Cabernet Franc Matías Riccitelli Viñedos de Montaña hails from the lower eastern border of Los Chacayes (3,500 fasl) in the Uco Valley and was fermented in concrete vats before aging for 16 months in French foudres. In the glass, it's garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents notes of ash, green bell pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry over a layer of oak. Dry and broad, the warm year has brought a velvety texture that contrasts with a chalky mouthfeel and rich palate. The 2020 ends with a long finish of dark fruit.
