Mixed ripe black cherry and currant with some edges of purple fruit, quite rich and coating. Backed by very mineral notes of iron, chaparral, bay, leather and savory meat. The palate has considerable flesh to it, muscular with some roundness in shape to finesse it out. Somewhere between Tychson and Cariad in concentration. Again lovey terroir notes of chaparral/manzanita, bay, hung beef, leather, cigar box and espresso. The alcohol is present here, on the finish. Notes from 9.7.18 — 5 years ago

I don’t think this was super expensive but a nice surprise 72 % Sonoma - 28% Mendocino but really deep jammy black fruit ( perfect SM tri- tip wine ) spice , slight oak background 15.5% abv but nicely balanced in the bigger style — 4 years ago

Unreal balance and poise, savory yet fresh. Black tea, espresso and chili flake dry rub. Layers on layers of complexity. You won’t get tired of looking for new threads of flavor.
