Fresh, fruity. Citrus and creamy. Jean charles boisset N21° brut cremant de Bourgogne @5280, Peiroth, 241011 — a month ago
Enjoyed alongside some other Napa legends from the 80’s and 90’s. The 1985 is lovely and came more than willing, with a mix of tart, ripe and desiccated red fruits, Montmorency cherries, red currants, graphite, toasted coconut, leather and nuts. There was a slightly sherried character early on the nose but the structure seemed to defy age. No need to cellar further as this is delicious now and well stored examples should continue to be through 2030+. — 13 days ago
Nice choice with filet or short rib fettuccine. — 12 days ago
Smooth with earth and soft dark fruits. Not many tannins — 19 days ago
Earthy and not giving away much initially, was worried after 20 mins. By 30 it blossomed, full on cassis and vanilla tannins, undergrowth. Dark red fruit, Rutherford dust. Notwithstanding a Bordeaux vibe there was no mistaking this for anything but a high-end Napa cab. Awesome one at that. I wouldn’t wait much longer… — 11 days ago
Columbia Valley Merlot with medium tannin and high acidity, with notes of plum and tobacco, at Coastal Alchemist wine bar, Ogunquit, ME — 2 months ago
At this price point I don’t think that Napa Cab can touch this quality and appeal. Gives what Cabernet drinkers want and saves you the extra $10-20 you may pay elsewhere — a month ago
Part of a Chateau Mouton Rothschild vertical from 1988-1990. The 1988 shows great color and is quite charming with notes of cassis, tobacco, leather some bell pepper and a cinnamon bark sort of thing on the nose. Structure remains firm and this was a little greener than the ‘89 and ‘90. There is no risk of this falling off anytime soon; probably good through 2038. — 13 days ago

Peach, dried apricot, lemon and orchard fruit flavors. Mild fine-grained skin astringency on finish. Decent acid, well balanced. Nice stone fruit aftertaste with length. Fine to sip or match with food not requiring high acid wines. — 12 days ago
