Tasty red and blue fruits with a nice finish. Quite nice and would rate higher if not for its lack of structure, which makes it a drink now wine, despite its relative youth. Nice effort, but would like to see more depth of flavor, complexity and structure to support the prodigious fruit. — 4 years ago
Each wine in the series is named for a horse born to Maggy Hawk: Jolie, Afleet, Stormin’ and Unforgettable, and to her sire, Hawkster. Medium Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits with notes of dried herbs, citrus and woody spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cherry with espresso, vanilla and herb tea spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine soft tannins on a long finish ending with cacao, spices and slight earthy character. Very nice! — 9 months ago
Pure Anderson Valley at its best. Aromas is plums, raspberries and violets lead to a soft and velvety palate. Flavors black fruits mingle with soft spice and earth and a finish that lingers with warm acidity and lingering fruit. A beautiful Pinot with a perfect amount of age. — 4 years ago

Popped and poured. The 2019 “Skycrest” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of yellow apples, lemons, butter, nuts, toasted marshmallow, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now through 2029. — a month ago
