This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Block 4 on our property which is our highest elevation block. The Cone See vines are planted in volcanic soil, the same profile found on Howell Mountain. Our vineyards have been farmed organically since 2005 and certified since 2008. This 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best expressions of the estate - rich in tannins and color, aromas of boysenberry, raspberry jam and forest floor herbs promise the potential of getting better in the years to come.

I am an Ehlers fan girl especially since Laura Diaz Muñoz became winemaker. This may be one before her personally overseen wines came out but it sings of things she told me was into. Which is supreme balance and goodly acid. It is all grapefruit and stones and hints at grass. Think this vintage was before Laura got her hands on the winery but she was happy to rep it so CANNOT wait to taste the next vintage because Laura is boss — 7 years ago

2019 Took some time to open but good nose and ruby colour excellent structure in mouth with good balance of berry flavours acidity and tannins

This vino dulce natural (“vin doux naturel”) is a fantastic example Málaga’s traditional sweet wines – the favorite of Catherine II of Russia and Victorian ladies and the city’s main export until vineyards were wiped out by phylloxera at the end of the 19th Century. It is made with Muscat of Alexandria grapes, fermented and fortified to reach 15% (In Málaga, this style coexists with another type of non-fortified sweet wine confusingly named “vino naturalmente dulce” or “naturally sweet wine” made with sun-dried grapes. Due to the high sugar concentration, they don’t require fortification or mutage). Pale golden color. Delicate, perfumed with aromas of pineapple, flowers, cream pastries and peach yogurt. Feels quite light, balanced, not overwhelmingly sweet. Incredible value — 5 years ago

17/20 (92/100) Интересно, как сильно буквально за год поменялось это вино. Вместо зелёных овощных нот появились тона абрикосов, слив, печёной тыквы, орехов и хлеба. По-прежнему тельное и маслянистое с высокой кислотностью. Тона оливкового масла во вкусе. Интересное, полное бочковое шардоне. Выдержка явно пошла вину на пользу. (06.09.2018) — 8 years ago
