A wonderful expression of spice, earth, smoke and brush in this medium-bodied, but intensely flavorful wine. Fruit plays a secondary role, with subtle flavors of raspberry and blueberry. — 6 years ago

One of the best. Smooth, balanced, perfectly paired with pork tenderloin with a cherry sauce. — 10 years ago
Santa Barbara Wine Seminar moderated by @Hawk Wakawaka. From Rita's Crown at up to 1,000ft elevation in Sra Rita Hills, diatomaceous earth. Picked early of course, about 12.5%. Higher new oak than the Longoria, but mostly larger puncheons. Good minerality and acidity. — 11 years ago
Fantastic Chardonnay bubbly from Longoria region of NW Italy. A brief sweet start and dry clean finish. — 2 years ago
Garnet in color. Red fruit and cranberry. A bit earthy, and reasonably tannic. Opened up quickly; an hour or so breathing and it was quite nice. — 6 years ago
Nose of delicate oak, Meyer lemon, and bee pollen. The pallet hits with a rush of acidity, minerality, and that sweet Meyer lemon again, almost like a lemon sorbet, with a ripe pineapple finish and honey. The more it sits the more complex it gets. Quite tasty with the Louisiana style roast chicken I’m eating. Yum! — 7 years ago
