A light, smooth rose’ that went exceptionally well with crab legs and shrimp. Makes a refreshing Summer libation as well. It seems my favorite rose’s come out of the Cotes de Provence. — 6 years ago
Deep red purple. Huge red fruit explosion on the on the nose and pallet at first. Nice counterbalance with earthiness and acidity. Some tobacco towards the end. This is bold and savory with round but firm tannings. Time has ironed out the nuances and evolved it into a sleek libation. — 6 years ago
Little pre-fathers day libation. Big, bold, and beautiful. Weighty and chewy. Cherry, spicebox and pepper. Loaded with alcohol - comes in at 15.9%. You know it’s there but it’s not overpowering. The finish is long and full of vanilla and spice. I ❤️ @Turley Wine Cellars. — 8 years ago
Feels like the proper libation to reflect on a wonderful Napa trip. That said, can anyone tell me why the geniuses at Macallan bailed on age-naming their Scotches? This is the last of my 18's, in a class all their own, velvety smooth and a core of orange citrus and burnt rind, earthy light peat. Sweet on so many levels. — 9 years ago
Super clean, dry and just the richness of flavor needed for an enjoyable libation. — 9 years ago
Ah, the 2010 vintage of Ricardo Santos Malbec, a transcendental libation that beckons the soul into the labyrinthine depths of vinicultural exuberance. As I imbibed this elixir, my palate embarked on an odyssey through an enigmatic symphony of hedonistic flavors. The terroir speaks with the eloquence of a thousand poets, invoking an avant-garde pas de deux between dark fruit and enigmatic earthiness.
The tannins, oh, the tannins! Like philosophers engaged in a Socratic dialogue with one's senses, they debate their existence before yielding to a seductive silkiness that borders on a Vinous epiphany. Its finish lingers, not unlike the sermons of a zealous street preacher, echoing in the inner sanctum of one's mind.
In conclusion, Ricardo Santos' 2010 Malbec is a vinous riddle wrapped in an enigmatic enigma, destined to provoke laughter, tears, and existential contemplation. A masterpiece of humorous absurdity in a glass! — 3 years ago
I’ve enjoyed Garrison Brothers’ Bourbon for many years now, and have gone through more than my fair share of bottles. Now, at long last, I’ve decided to indulge once more and get another bottle so I can make my all-time favorite Old Fashioned (called the “Hye Fashioned,” which is served at Four Seasons Austin’s lobby bar/lounge, Live Oak). Today was my first attempt at re-creating this sensational libation at home, and it was a hit 🔥 It consists of Garrison Brothers Bourbon, Remy Martin VSOP, Demerara simple syrup, Angostura bitters, orange peel, and Luxardo cherries. The Garrison Brothers Bourbon provides an integrally raw, firm backbone to the otherwise sweet nature of this luxurious iteration of a timeless classic 🥃 — 6 years ago

Summer in a bottle! — 7 years ago
A surprise visit from the Jersey Boy and he decisively chose Burgundy as his libation of the night and I gladly obliged. Great people make good wine so much better and as the conversation flowed the wine opened and evolved. This was tight with a touch of funk to start but with the sea air the sweet, silky fruit took center stage. This is still a massive wine but it is so so lush and round with a substantial amount of tension and intensity. Very much on its way up and it will only get better for the next 10 years. Thank you @Joe Lucca for the hang. Smiles all around @Mike R — 9 years ago

An anniversary libation of the highest order! — 5 years ago
Nose is met with burning ethyl acetate, toffee, and some Chinese sauce (maybe hoisin). On the palate, dark chocolate, expresso, and latte, with a finish John Holmes would be proud of. The libation is dark, dark, dark. And it is outstanding for the price. — 6 years ago

Shhhhh. Holy Saturday, Batman!!! Easter bunny drinks rosé! Perfect libation for plastic egg prep. Nice balance between sweetness and acidity in the mouth. The finish shows fresh fruit and great length. — a year ago
