After a « simple » natural wine as an aperitif that seems simpler, we tell ourselves that this wine is not as remarkable as the label promises. The aromatic range is interesting, unfolding as you taste it. Typical notes of noble Syrah: violet, black fruits, pepper, blackcurrant, smoked larded notes. The volume on the palate is medium bodied and the finish might have needed a few more hours of aeration, as can be seen from the difference between the 1st and 3rd glass. Good but not wow

Après un vin nature à l’apéro à priori plus simple, on se dit que ce vin n’est pas aussi remarquable que l’étiquette le promet. La gamme aromatique est intéressante, se déployant à mesure de la dégustation. Notes typique de la Syrah noble: violette, fruits noirs, poivre, cassis, notes lardées fumées. Le volume en bouche est moyen corsé et la finale aurait peut-être eu besoin de quelques heures supplémentaires d’aération, en atteste la différence entre le 1er et le 3ème verre. My husband and I really enjoyed this bottle of red blend that we had never tried before, opened while making a Mediteranian pork dish to whet our appetites for dinner. Very smooth and rich, a nice blend of Cabernet and Merlot. Mild smokiness and berries. — 4 years ago

Tres bien fait! Au nez, on dénote le cuir, le tabac, un coté végetal. Le vin est tres dense dans le verre, ce qui laisse présager que le vin peu tenir la route encore quelques années. En bouche c’est fougueux, beaucoup de matière, fruit noirs, café, cèdre. La finale est longue. J’ai bien aimé. C’est différent de ce que je bois normalement! — 3 years ago

Unfiltered, peach color. Petrol, leather, peat on the nose which reminds me of the port wine caves in Portugal. Complex taste overall with a round mouth feel and a long finish. This oxidized style of wine is well balanced by a bright acidity and slight tartness but does allude to the vin jaune style of the Jurassic region. Very beautiful skin contact Pinot noir. Nez principalement sur les fruits noir, cuir, eucalyptus! En bouche, c’est très bien, les saveurs typique bordelais, fruits noirs, tabac, cuir, cèdre , roches mouillées. Le vin est quand même puissant, les tannins sont présents et le vin a un bel équilibre. Va tenir la route encore

This was the showstopper. A brand new wine brought to you by the Bevan dream team and it was amazing. This is the one wine I continually came back for, revisiting it time and time again. Lovely tannins, balanced structure (even for a 2017). Love this wine. — 5 years ago
