Still alive with pretty blue, black, and red fruit. Dominated by umami with strong notes of mushroom, soy sauce, and dried seaweed. The nose and palate were very subtle. This lacked the power and structure to live much longer. #malbec #argentina #catenazapata #francismallmann #elgarzon

Deep ruby with medium wide ruby garnet colour . Quite a lot of spice and dried herbs , meaty dusty quite cool dark fruits, dark cherry , blackberry . Quite high toned and astringent mostly red fruit on the palate, cherry, strawberry preserve , slightly alcoholic kick , though quite decent acidity , slightly granular tannins . Drinking well now and over the next 5 years

Started out tired and acidic but with a bit more air it filled out and improved : soft, dusty tannins, some red fruit. Would not hold this much longer.

Tres bien fait! Au nez, on dénote le cuir, le tabac, un coté végetal. Le vin est tres dense dans le verre, ce qui laisse présager que le vin peu tenir la route encore quelques années. En bouche c’est fougueux, beaucoup de matière, fruit noirs, café, cèdre. La finale est longue. J’ai bien aimé. C’est différent de ce que je bois normalement!

Nov 7th, 2020Deep ruby , still young looking. Aromas of ripe plum, cherry and spice . Still youthful and exciting on the nose . In the mouth also , lovely balancing acidity sweet tannin. Very long and balanced on the finish . Perhaps it is missing a bit of complexity , but it may come with more bottle age
