Rainwater Medium Dry Madeira

Lighter than a major Madeira conjures with those rain-a-licious vibes. Lowkey coffee, caramelized nuts, candied orange peel, and fresh lemon zest all graced with cutting acid. — 4 months ago

Leacock Madeira Bastardo 1927

1927 Bastardo. Pretty rare from what I understand where they used the Bastardo in only 2 vintages the 27 & 54 — 7 years ago

Madeira Terrantez 1954

Cork took me a while, that’s why I’m not a Sommelier. Gorgeous honey color, almost amber. Caramel, honey, roasted nuts and dried tropical fruit on the nose. Full body, with high acid and alcohol on the minutes long finish. This is great. — 5 years ago

Malmsey Solera 1863 Madeira White Blend

Leacocks Malmsey “Solera” Madeira 1863: bright and beautiful for a wine of 152 years (!); delicate body, with surprisingly flavorful notes of toffee and almonds; taste was only semi-sweet, not fully so; crisp, salty acidity; wonderfully enduring finish, like a Kraft Caramel sprung from a time machine — 8 years ago

5 Years Madeira Malmsey

How times change. 15 years ago I'd not have given 5 year tinta negra blends a second glance. This does what it says on the bottle--it is full and rich. Crème brûlée, butterscotch, almonds, vanilla, and healthy acidity. Only lacking that final layer of complexity that great aged madeira can contain. Stunning QPR for madeira. — 7 years ago
