A great vintage in South Australia.

Based on my previous bottle I didn’t have high hopes for this one. But it rocked!
Aged beautifully. Once a big bruiser of a wine, now it’s sophisticated and sensible.

Hand Made Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2017

Very nice nose, deep flavours of chocolate and a little bit of raspberry go well together.
This is a big flavoured wine with both the acid and tannin to let it last much longer, and thus will cellar for more years.

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

Wow, twenty two year old, and still in a lovely spot with no sign of decline any time soon. Full body, incredible bouquet and flavours, with a long, long aftertaste. And powerful too. The label says 16.1 % alcohol, but it felt more like 26.1 %. Opened for valentine’s 2024. It went nicely with our pork schnitzel and delicious ganache chocolate cake. Yum. — 2 months ago

Bremerton

Selkirk Shiraz 2017

"Vineyards nurtured with care and sure premium fruit for this regionally expressive shiraz. It has a deep vibrant color and offers distinctive varietal characters of lifted white pepper aroma, dark berry fruits, plum and spice, supported by a layered, well balanced palate and persistent finish." — 5 months ago
