Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Impressive Pessac Leognan. Smooth tannins, slight smokey aromas, and smooth deep berry flavors. It’s a food wine, like with a nice fillet. — 7 months ago

Jean Garde Unoaked Chardonnay 2020

Tiny bit sparkly and almost sweet but not quite. Tannin is present. Well-matured fruity scent. Good light-bodied chardonnay. It’s unoaked. — 3 years ago

Domaine La Terrasse d'Elise

Enclos Hérault Mourvedre 2015

Nice red ruby color, dried prune, black pepper, dried tomatoes, very smooth attack, then structured and a very fresh finish. Great balance. Top Mourvèdre ! — 4 years ago

Château La Garde

Blanc Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 1995

I enjoyed this so much I neglected to take notes – but wow, what a vivacious, old Bordeaux Blanc this was! Amazing experience. — 5 months ago

Fig? Plum? Sea salt. Has the density and richness of a dessert wine, but it isn’t. Strange and good. — 3 years ago

Domaine Carneros (Taittinger)

Avant Garde Carneros Pinot Noir Rosé 2023

So good. Better than last year in my opinion. White peach, cherry, fruity but dry. — 6 months ago

Enjoyed on Friday night in Palo Alto with Daniel & our home made ancient grain pizza with artichoke bruschetta adparagus leeks & brusell sprouts — 7 months ago

Domaine Henry Pellé

La Croix au Garde Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Picked up a split of this because all my .375 empties got accidentally thrown out (I use them to store unfinished bottles in the fridge). So I was mostly after the bottle itself but what’s inside happens to be superb—lime, apple and floral notes with fine but not hard edged limestone mineral character, softened perhaps by the clay component of the terroir. I Sancerre-ly enjoyed it! — 4 years ago

@Ellen Clifford When it comes to wine puns, I guess Saumur just better than others
