Strawberry jam, hint of spice, very tasty, definitely recommend! — 4 years ago
It shouldn’t surprise that the house making among the most age-worthy Italian wines is making Brunello not to touch for 15+ years. Secondary aromatics with rose and red flowers, cinnamon? Burgundian layers on a light and compelling frame with a core of sour cherry and strawberry. Perfectly integrated, lonnnnng as day. Yum. — 8 years ago
Bright red. Sweet spice, ripe red cherry, licorice and flowers on the nose and in the mouth. Smooth and bright, and though not exactly the last word in concentration or complexity, this is downright irresistible in its juicy, fruity appeal. Podere Brizio recently changed ownership and now belongs to Dievole, the Chianti Classico producer (Podere Brizio’s previous owner, Roberto Bellini, is the man who sold the Chiesa di Santa Restituta estate to Gaja, who renamed it Pieve di Santa Restituta). 4th anniversary - Baldi’s 1/2 bottle Gaja — 15 days ago
The oak has integrated from my previous note in February 2017 where the influence of oak Barriques was overly present. Sangiovese is not enhanced by too much oak in my opinion and is best matured in large Botti like I said in my previous note like Biondi Santi. Red cherry and earth notes finishing with powdery tannins. Coming together. — 5 months ago

Not ready yet… but a bomb in waiting for sure. Electric guitar, blue bleached hair, heart shaped box. Grungy. — 5 years ago
Everything you’d want in an amarone. Burst of flavor at the beginning that then settles back into a relaxed, elegant finish. On the palate, some black plum mixed with a very faint dried cranberry or cherry. It all resolved into a wonderfully balanced finish, that is almost floral, but it’s more deep and complex than just floral. — 6 years ago
Simply amazing, so smooth and goes good w meats. — 7 years ago
Smooth, deep Cherry spices, has a body to it. Paired with lamb loin, game savory cheeses — 8 years ago
Light citrusy fruits aroma. A bit sweet.
Tastes surprisingly dry for prosecco. Strong citrus/pamplemousse taste. Quite acidic, but not super salivating.
Would expect to be champagne if blind-tasted. — 5 months ago
Another great vintage, cherry notes, paired well with duck. — 5 months ago
Venetian Merlot with fresh crush and partially dried grapes. Aged in barriques.. Plum, cinnamon and pepper on the nose. Tight on opening. After about an hour very earthy old world style on the palate - slightly dense. Dark fruit, prune, cinnamon, leather, damp soil. Oak is prominent and finish was long and refreshing. Not a casual dinner wine - probably best with a hearty stew or fatty roast. — 3 years ago
"recognized for its distinctive floral nose in the succulent apple and pear flavors.". Enjoyable, reasonably priced Prosecco! — 6 years ago

Love this. A glass or two by the pool. Fantastic. Pears and peaches. Stainless steel fermentation. — 8 years ago

A testament to what a great producer can do in a less than stellar vintage. Medium garnet color with a small ruby core and slight brick rim. Aromas of macerated red fruit, dried herbs and wood smoke. Flavors of dark cherries, dried tarragon, basil and sage, and smoky vanilla. Touch of minerality on the long and lingering finish with ample acidity. Extremely savory and complex. In its prime. Should have decanted this one. Thank you for sharing this bottle, Petey P! Memorial Day 2026. — a month ago
