Sofia’s favorite vineyard plot. A “smoke show” we called it. Generally the 19s were the standouts — beautifully balanced and giving all of the dried herb and earthy notes typical of great Chianti Classico — but this was an exception, opulent and spicey (allspice, cinnamon, cedar) and so so fragrant. Stay in the look out for these wines — Sofia (the estate manager) and Giocomo (vineyard manger and cellar master, most recently of Isole & Olena) are making some really intentional and pretty wines here. — 2 years ago

100% Sangiovese.
Well balanced. Dark fruit, a bit herbaceous. A little bit of a bite but overall medium round.
Had w steak, would drink around. More Ali than Trevor style wine but he appreciated — 9 months ago

Wow elegant and excellent red blend. Has mocha and grapes with some decent structure. Flavors are dense and complex. Reminds me of the best of France. Bit of minerality too. Structure is excellent. Crisp but creamy. — 6 days ago
