Founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley, with caves that extend for over a mile. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruit, sweet oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of ripe peach, melon and apple, with vanilla spice, creamy texture. Red berries all the way. Medium body, medium+ acidity and medium tannins. Had this with moules and not a terrible pairing. Enough acid to withstand the tomatoes but soft enough tannins to not clash with the seafood. Nice natural offering from the Clare Valley. — 7 years ago

On the palate complex flavors of crisp apple, melon & lemon, balanced with good acidity & great mouthfeel. Lingering finish ending with toasty mineral spice. A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot, aged for almost 2 years in French oak (50%new) with aromas of dark berry fruits, sweet spice and cedar. Flavors of blackberry and cherry, pure velvet, with vanilla, oak and leather notes. Dusty tannins on lingering finish ending with espresso tones. Has room to age. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago

Founded by Rich Frank and Koerner Rombauer in 1996, this Cab has a vivid Ruby color with aromas of sweet dark fruit and baking spices. On the palate the ripe fruit takes over, cherry, blackberry, blueberry and toss in some currants and a touch of pepper hits. The wine shows good balance with acidity and fine tannins. This Full body wine had a nice long finish. Great value. — 10 years ago
