Reserve Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Owned by Richard Frank and Koerner Rombauer. Got a taste via Corvin. A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot, aged for almost 2 years in French oak (50%new) with aromas of dark berry fruits, sweet spice and cedar. Flavors of blackberry and cherry, pure velvet, with vanilla, oak and leather notes. Dusty tannins on lingering finish ending with espresso tones. Has room to age. Tasting Sample.

Fat and fruity up front with earth, dust, graphite, and chewy tannins on the finish.

Beautiful, full-bodied reserve cab from Frank Family. This is quite a big step up from their regular cab. Despite a somewhat restrained nose, lovely fruit and tropical flavors on the palette. Solid structure. A Bordeaux-like Napa cab.

Let it breathe a bit - assumes Rutherford style Cab you’ll find wonderful. January 2018.

Dark ruby, sweet fruit and mineral aromas, round and silky with blue, red and black fruits giving way to a long finish with menthol aromas dancing on your palette. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

Very enjoyable all around solid Napa Cab. Very pleasant, but not memorable. Definitely would have it again. Some what muddled I guess, maybe need to let it open up some more.

Dry and minerally wonderful. Reminds me of th best of Rutherford wines, but from Calistoga. I may have to become a member of their wine club.

Got it at Frank Family vineyard when visiting Napa! Great wine! Bold, fruitful and strong flavors that hit every part of the tongue!
