Dark, rich, velvety intensely elegant.
Loads of Blackberries, Black Cherries. A suggestion of tannins and acidity on the finish. My first impression was: This is very good. My first impression was not accurate, This is Great and Excellent wine. Worth every year waiting and can stand another five years! — 3 years ago

@Delectable Wine - This is the William Knuttel Biglieri Vineyard - Old Vines Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. (Someone please click the 3 dots in the upper right and click “report incorrect wine”)
Such a classic Dry Creek Zin. Nose has beautifully pure, ripe spicy blackberry fruit, baking spice, sun-warmed gravel. In the mouth it’s got an initial whack of pure, linear fruit, but then clenches a bit and the tannins kick in. But they’re not intrusive, and the cling of the fruit and crushed stone flavors comes back and lingers. Good acids, and only 14.7% alc. Really nice wine. — 2 years ago

Intense dark garnet. Aromas of blueberry, radon, prune and ripe orange. Hints of pepper guides you to very smooth and sophisticated long finish. William Knuttel puts his devotion and love into this Zinfandel. Well balanced and depth. — 5 years ago
Dark black / red edges. Dark cherry & blackberries with currants. Long legs & pleasing tannins on the finish. Excellent pairing with grilled aged Rib-In Ribeye. Great for 40th wedding anniversary. Looking forward to next bottle on 45 anniversary. — 7 years ago
This #napa #cabernetsauvignon comes into its own after a long decanting - even a day in the wine cooler after uncorking. Luxurious blackberry jammy nose but nice balance of acidity, restrained vanilla and toasted oak, zesty spice and soft tannins that fade away. The initial tartness after uncorking goes away with that decant time. — 7 years ago
I'm not big Chardonnay fan. I'd get this one again in a heartbeat. (v 2010) — 10 years ago
Very nice wine. A bit young but drinks nicely on its own. I decanted it which seemed to open it up well. — 11 years ago
So drinkable and light — 3 years ago
So smooth! Blue fruits pop and pour with fine tannins. Finish is smooth. This is a beautiful wine. Even great the second day. I need a case of this! The Red Grape — 5 years ago

Lovely purity of fruit in Square Peg's 2014 Estate Block 8 Dry Farmed Pinot Noir from Green Valley. Grown at an 800' elevation a mere eight miles from the Pacific Ocean—winemaker William Knuttel has coaxed red berries from this cool climate Pinot along with nuanced aromas of underbrush, rose petal, dried orange peel, and baking spice. I particularly love the acid here, as it courses through a tart cherry and cranberry core, a spray of arrows, homing in on a mouthwatering finish tipped in white pepper. 14.5% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
I don't usually like Chardonnay, but this is good. — 11 years ago
