Luxurious blackberry jammy nose but nice balance of acidity, restrained vanilla and toasted oak, zesty spice and soft tannins that fade away. The initial tartness after uncorking goes away with that decant time.

On this occasion I was lucky enough to taste this paired with some nicely grilled New York strip steaks. When you think of a superb Napa Cab, this wine should come to mind. Jammy, rich bramble fruit that's set off with velvety tannins and some layers of earthy spice.
