Inky ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of black cherry/berry/currant with additional hints of tobacco black licorice, baking spices and bramble vines. Hint of charred wood and smoke on the medium-plus finish. Full bodied, ripe tannins and plus alcohol. The nose was a bit closed but the flavors were bright, rich and fresh. Solid FLX Red. This is the Evergreen Lek single vineyard dry Riesling. Very “Trimbachian” in style. Nose shows subtle crushed slate, a bit of petrol-like minerality, dried and fresh green apple slices.
