2010 vintage. Not a fave producer by any means but a fave plot. Opened and decanted with a small amount of sed. Verry aromatic throughout. Didn't want to open this but the other/first red Burg offering/option was underwhelming so this got pressed into service. Light medium/medium body. Plenty of complexities in both the nose and mouth. Excellent acidity baseline to administrate the proceedings. This can easily go another decade. Didn't have enough time to experience this properly unfolding but the time that was spent was thoroughly enjoyable. 10.2.26. — 5 days ago

Clear, pale ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary aromas of raspberries, hibiscus, and fresh strawberries, on the palate, it's dry with medium plus acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, light body, and pronounced primary flavors of sour cherries, black tea, and pomegranates with a long finish. This wine is simple, but with enough acidity to balance the fruit. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie liked it with food. — 21 days ago

Tasted blind. On to the reds, we're served two side by side. This is light tawny color, translucent. Masculine nose. Notes of black fruit, dark earth, cherries and some hickory. Very rustic, which led me to a 1989 guess as to the vintage. Guessed 89 Rousseau Clos de Beze. I've had this Jadot bottle several times over the years... this was clearly the best performance for it, and bottles like tonight's easily have another decade in front of it but I don't think it will get any better with more age. — 6 years ago
