Real Sleeper - figured this was going to be tired & over the hill, but it was glorious! Needed 90 minutes to really open up but then it unfurled with pure black & blue fruits interspersed w/tar, leather, minerals, florals, meat & spice all wrapped in finely grained tannins wrapped in velvet. This was a product of the insanely hot 03 vintage, but this is an absolute complete wine - a gem. — 5 years ago

On 2/9/18 at J.C. Holdway for Valentine’s Day, sitting next To said Etazadi enjoying a date. This cloudy mysterious red does not disappoint. Slightly dry, fruity and balanced well. — 8 years ago

Gamay forever!! SIGHT: burgundy red; light, clear. SMELL: slight farm floor, overripe plum flesh, nostalgia. TASTE: strawberry candy, slight tartness, pleasant tannins, light bodied — 6 years ago

@Delectable Wine - This is not a “white blend”; it’s Chardonnay.
This is high-level Macon. Nose has wonderful fruit with notes of apple, pear, and even peach, drizzled over stones plucked from a cool mountain stream. How’s that for imagery, huh? Also a very subtle toasty, buttery note that suggests barrel fermentation. I have no idea whether it is or not (probably not), but it is what it is. In the mouth the balance is very nice, with acids, stony minerals, and a bit of pure stone fruit in equal measure. Love this. — 2 years ago
