From Domestique 2014 on 5/2/20. Dry, no effervescence. — 24 days ago
1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 4 months ago

Finally getting around to posting wines from my annual Napa trip from two weeks ago. Always goes by quick! Lots of fun new stops this year.
Really enjoyed my visiting with Will at Mending Wall where he poured Rivers-Marie as well as his personal label William & Mary.
A baby, but lots of great things ahead. The fruit is very pure and concentrated without being overly rich. Hardly any trace of oak. Bright lemon zest, crushed limestone, honeysuckle with fresh and zippy acidity. Lots to like here. Thanks for a wonderful hosting @William J. Segui . — 3 months ago

1991 Dominus. Dinner with J&L B and D&M H, while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and decanted right before serving. Loved it. Drinking beautifully. Still had some fruit in it but well balanced and some good earthy qualities. JB and I preferred this to the ‘94 Screaming Eagle we drank afterwards. — 4 months ago
