Really tasty Albariño. Some honeysuckle, guava and a hint of banana on the nose. Floral land tropical fruits in the nose big time. Some of that floral up front on the tongue but then the citrus comes in. A little lemon and maybe some white nectarine. Enjoyed this one with Peruvian chicken and a turmeric rice. 330 ml love juice ❤️ Cider isn't a drink I'd typically reach for, but if it's Eric Bordelet (or Jacques Perritaz), I'd drink it in a heartbeat. Off-dry with high acidity. Fruity, pure, fresh, and so balanced. Yummo! — 7 years ago

An earthy, jammy pinot. Reminds me of the J Swan zin from the early 2000s. Hear it’s better decanted and best aged, but I would drink this again in a heartbeat. Had with spicy sausage penne in a pesto cream sauce. — 7 years ago

Loved this one. Great for a rainy cold day. Paired with mujadara and Jerusalem mix chicken. Big wine with blackberry, dark cherry and blueberry. Oaky tannins keep it from being too sweet. Would buy this again in a heartbeat!! — 2 years ago

The only thing I really thought of while enjoying this one was "you know, if there was ANOTHER decanter, I would decant this one in a heartbeat." This Chardonnay was full bodied, buttery, and unfortunately was a little locked down. I think I was getting a lot of melon, mango, honeydew. Rather malolactic in the way it coated the palate. I was impressed by this one, but probably the most impressed as to how this one was still a 13 and in great need of more time or time in a decanter! The bones are here, and are solid. But I really think this one needs more time than anything else. Drink 2019-2023. — 9 years ago

Was almost sure that this one was done. However, after opening the cork and getting a whiff of this one, I became pretty excited. This one pours a maroon color into the glass. Nose of sweet plum and blackberry. Entry is sweet plums and dates. A small amount of tart underripe blackberry but this was not the primary note. Middle is rather full bodied, and was surprisingly complex. A little bit of pipe tobacco, a little bit of sweet milk chocolate. Finished with reasonable acidity, even a little bit of sweet toasted tannin. one of the handful of Texas reds that I would buy again in a heartbeat. — 7 years ago

Screaming value here, folks. Those with a low Brett threshold need not apply, but the funk does recede into the background with some air eventually revealing some very sweet, pretty fruit. Some lovely violet and lavender nuances come through on the nose. Wonderful acidity, subtle minerality. There’s great structure throughout, yet a remarkable palate-coating softness in texture. I would buy a case of this in a heartbeat. Some for casual dining, some for pure enjoyment, some for mid-term aging. Total winner. — 8 years ago

Best sub $60 cab I can recall. Massive all the way around. Dusty spiced raspberry nose, jamnastic giant red fruited palate, and a 30 second dry tannic finish. Even better with more time. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. — 9 years ago
