Riserva Genevieve Serragghia Zibibbo

Riserva Genevieve is not the best choice for a drunk company. But here we are, making our own mistakes. And also greeting a spoiled orange unveiling in our glasses. Mango, soap, white flowers and VA. It offers good acidity and balance. Its funkiness is moderate and not disturbing. This is by far the most complete wine in the range. Does it justify the price? — a year ago

Donati Camillo

Rosso Della Bandita Sparkling Blend 2019

A more structured Lambrusco than our normal go-to, Denny Bini (more berry fruit-forward). This feels tannic, dry, woody - of the forest. A bit of tobacco and brown leaves with quiet acidity. — 4 years ago

Terre di Giotto

Pesciola Nostrale Rosso Red Blend 2021

A crazily old Chianti blend (with large % of Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera) from vineyards in the Appenines, north east from Florence, almost on the border to Romagna.
Very open & floral-fruity on the nose, fresh, with cherries & black fruit, a touch of cassis, tomato leaf and orange blossom.
On the palate - zesty, juicy, ultra fresh with edgy, slightly rustic (yet light) tannins. Cherries, dark berries, a pinch of spice. Great purity & flow, dangerously drinkable (at an unnoticeable 14.5%!)!
Slightly chilled this is the perfect Italian food wine! A delightful discovery!

Himmel Auf Erden Miral Cabernt Franc 2020

I am a sucker for anything muscat-like. This was no exception! Would serve closer to room temperature than too cold to bring out all the flavor and complexity. Mineral, herby and spicy with a soft edge to it. Reminds me of a Bini 🥰 — 3 years ago

Cicala Bianco Bollicine di Zibibbo 2018

Hands down, it is arguably the best ancestrale I have ever tasted. And it even can compete with serious bubbles. So let's call Cicala annoying for its price (hehe, annoying Cicala; you get it, right?) and vinous for its qualities.

Honey, spoiled apricot, curry, Mivina spices, soap, potato chips, tropical fruits. Complex, generous and persistent. Fresh and a bit salty in the finish. I absolutely love the iodine touch.

Cup of Ambition Skin Fermented Albariño 2019

This is actually reminiscent of Bini Zibibbo. Tropical and grippy and really well done. — 3 years ago
