This is a solid every day red, good with chicken, sausage, pasta, cheese, marinara sauce dishes, and the likes. Nose of raspberry (a lot of it), pepper, allspice, and a sweet floral note I can’t quite put my nostrils on. There’s a slick acidity that keeps your mouth salivating and minimal tannin and very lovely fruit juice. It’s medium to light body makes this quite gulp-able. Solid price point too. — 7 years ago

A more gentle Nebbiolo. Light ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas of sour red berry fruit, leather, forest floor and smoke. Sour cherry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit flavors with hints of tobacco, dark chocolate and earth. No obvious indication of oak aging. Tannins are relatively mild and pretty well integrated. Well concentrated but slightly out of balance. Somewhat elegant and restrained. Not what I expected. Thank you for the bottle, Ron B! — a year ago

Nose: grape - almost artificial, like a popsicle. Dirt, dried leaves. “Fumey.” White pepper. Plum skin (tannic smell). Alcohol smell.
