Domaine Le Roc

Cuvée Don Quichotte Fronton 2015

Violet, cherry, blackberry, pepper. This is a crazy nose. The palate is rather thin with a strong acid backbone. There is some matter and some bright black fruit all along, a bit of spice too but it's very easy going and on the length. Long floral finish with a pinch of fruit. Good stuff from my hometown. — 6 days ago

Château Bellevue La Forêt

Côtes du Frontonnais Sangiovese Blend 1987

An Acker tag on and a surprise of how nice it’s drinking. Not yet over the hill. Not complex but nice balance of that aged forest floor notes and Mushrooms with very ripe dark fruits reduced down in cooking. Wine searcher says 50% Négrette, 35% Cabernet Franc et Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah. Bottle confirms Négrette and Cabernet, says 32,327 bottles and this one numbered 13,343. — 2 months ago

Domaine Le Roc

La Folle Noire d'Ambat Fronton Negrette 2016

This bottle shows a really bright side today. Close to no funk upon opening : a bright violet, some red and black forest fruits, a bit of red pepper, iron, black pepper too. The palate is well balanced with a strong acid backbone and black and red forest fruits on the sides. A bit of tannins in the rear for a kick before a closing with fruits and some nice bitterness. The finish gives an impression of climbing back on the palate, this is quite a physical experience, it litteraly comes back up.

Edit : it gets 0,1 point more because I haven't tasted it in this state and form for a very long time. Gotta love it!

Thank you @Peter van den Besselaar this one is dear to me because I'm from toulouse originally and we go buy it directly from the Ribes brothers. It travelled 2000 km in the trunk of my parents' car before being opened here in Warsaw.
