Interesting two headed label. Dark color. Smells like berries and coffee. Un-roasted coffee. Maybe a hint of wood. Rich and fleshy in the mouth. Nice cassis streak. This is an excellent Frenchie. — 3 years ago
Really like this Syrah! I had it for the first time at Frenchie Rue du Nil in Paris paired with smoked rabbit which was exceptional! This time I had it with roasted pork. — 4 years ago
From Frenchie. More tart than normal but really good. — 2 years ago
I’ve had Samsara Syrah before and was looking forward to a perfumed nose of violets and deep flavors of blueberries and blackberries backed up by muscular tannins. This bottle was different. Faint nose of something red, then mouthfuls of heavy flavor—tannic, yes, but also brambly and spicy. Reminded me of a California Zin/Syrah hybrid. Needed time to breathe and mellow. Very nice food wine to pair with beef. Had the 2017 vintage with steak tartare and boeuf bourguignon at Little Frenchie in Coronado, San Diego, CA. — 3 years ago
Frenchie Covent garden. Funky. Deep and bold. Typically Bordeaux. — 5 years ago
Scored a couple of these bad boys from Full Pull for $20. Money spent wisely. Tasting like an old Frenchie, time to drink since it’s starting to lose some flavor. Still a really nice representation of how well WA wine can age. — 3 years ago
