Hayne Vineyard Petite Sirah 2005

Might have kept this a little too long as the flavors are a bit muddled. The aromas/nose on it fills the room so it’s very aromatic. The finish is long but all in the mid-palate and nothing in the cheeks so feels lacking. More acidic than I love. — 9 months ago

Fainting Goat Red Blend 2019

Just as delicious as I remember it. Can distinctly taste the black cherry. It is delightful to taste the actual description of the wine. Definitely on the sweeter side. — 5 years ago

Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

[Wildberry Springs Estate Vineyard, 52% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc.] Earthy loamy aromas, redfruits, very nice balance and structure, long, lingering finish, needs more aging, but really lovely tonight!! — 10 months ago

Spring Street Merlot 2016

If anyone wants a perfect example of a Cali merlot, give them this. Big blue fruit with some pine and cedar. It’s not subtle, but it’s good. If you’re a Merlot lover, get this. — 3 years ago

Hoffman Lane Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Another winespies purchase that has proven to be a good purchase. Strong spice, blackberry and slight cherry, cinnamon, and more. Medium tannins. A 7 year old wine that likely could age another 5 - 10 years. — 4 years ago

9.0

PnP. Drinking young. Very dark, thick red color. Medicinal tones, cedar, and dark cherries on the nose with some oak. Same on the palate. Seems higher than the 14.4 OH. Next to zero finish which is disappointing. Average Napa Cab right now and seems way overpriced at $60+. — 2 years ago
