Pomerol: my favorite Bordeaux Appellation, by far. Solid! With so much life and time left in the bottle… Heck, I could pair this with prime rib eye and and it would cut the fat seamlessly. Yeah, this is outstanding, and will only get better and better, peaking in about four or five more years. Amazing prolonged intense tannic finish. Cheers. — 19 days ago
Sensational Bordeaux style blend. Scott nails it every time. — 25 days ago
Dark cherry and spice nose. More dark cherry on the palate with cola, plum, cooked strawberry, cinnamon, clove, oak, with a hint of cocoa. Medium plus alcohol, medium minus tannins, and high alcohol. — a month ago
Blueberries, herbs, and cedar. Complex, elegant, and intense. Such a lovely wine. Decanted for about four hours and served with lamb — a magnificent combination. — 11 days ago
Thin and uninteresting at first , but after just half an hour of decanting this wine blossoms into something quite interesting. Another 30 minutes in the decanter brings very nice Russian River fruity and flowery aromas and flavors—strawberry and earth, gentle tannins and balanced acidity. Quite an improvement from the last bottle I tried four years ago. Enjoyed the 2014 vintage with USDA Prime New York steak. — 16 hours ago

Very drinkable. Lovely winery — 19 days ago
2013 vintage. Courtesy of @Bill Bender Still über-youthful…seemingly released 2-3 years ago based of the flavor/aroma profiles. Cracking black pepper finish that increased in intensity over the course of four hours. — 18 days ago

Four Seasons Collection Late Harvest Red Moscato 1997, Moldova
#AgedWineTuesday
This is a very tasty sweet wine from Moldova. Actually, my first one from this region.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Sweet on the palate with nice acidity that balances it out.
Showing red and black fruits with sweet cherries, over ripen citrus fruits, Indian spices, caramel, mocha, nuts, dried figs, cooked raisins and walnuts.
This 25 year old, still has good acidity, which is nice to see.
Good right out of the bottle, and so much better after 3 hours of airtime.
It does not feel fortified, but I wonder how they got to that high alcohol...
A good dessert wine with great complexity.
I found it in a Russian grocery store for $4. Couldn't help myself.
I paired it with an Italian Fruit Tart cake.
15% alcohol by volume.
