1st bottle of the nite was corked. 2d bottle was a relief, as this wine is still drinking surprisingly well. That said, it may be on borrowed time. Rich, deep color with only very minor shading on the rim. Kinda deceptive. Good nose. Soft, but thins quickly on the palate. Fruit is barely discernible. Think flagstone porch or gravel driveway on a rainy day... and you still get some of the backbone (albeit slightly osteoporotic??). Time to drain this if you got it, because the ferryman will be taking this one shortly. — 7 years ago

Direct from SA. Delightful. Takes me back to the tasting rooms. Oaky, pepper, tobacco nose, deep blackcurrant, blackberries, peppery undertones and warmth, oaky in the mouth, lovely finish for something as light as a Pinotage. Really rate it. — 5 years ago
Loved this!! Really impressed. It has real fullness and body, and interest without the overly floral top notes of some viogniers. A bit like a bild sauv blanc. I will def buy this again. — 5 years ago

A very enjoyable post skiing red to chill out of an evening over. A consistent quality that is highly enjoyable. — 8 years ago

Cool simple bottle and label. A screw-top with class. Color is golden straw. Aromas of lemons and honey. Hint of freshly scrubbed flagstone patios. Flavors are lemon water, honeydew melon and jasmine tea. This is like all the good things in non-buttery Chardonnay mixed with the minerality and zing of Sauv Blanc. It’s fuller, denser and more elegant than most CA Chenin Blanc I’ve had. It’s also a white that seems to age nicely. If I could find it somewhere around here, it would join the short list for go to whites. — 3 days ago
