Pop and pour. A bit over a year and a half since my last btl. On the nose: alluring as ever with blackberry, blueeberry, vanilla, charcoal. On the palate, this seems a little less vibrant than I would like: good acid and fruit up front, but falls of quickly on the mid with finely grained, but attenuated tannin on the finish. If this btl is any indication, this is on the downslope, but still drinking well. — 3 years ago
Pop and pour. On the nose: clove, cinnamon, muddled strawberry, blackberries and sugar. On the palate: at first, ok acidity, and not so well-delineated flavors; burnt sugar, then acidity picks up, and the palate is clearer: blackberry and blueberry, clove, and then a wall of finely grained tannin..the finish is a little too staccato, but good energy after the wall of tannin fades a bit, and good length. Still, very tasty! — 4 years ago
Current, blackberry, crushed violets, some pepper. Length throughout the pallets with a lasting finish — 3 years ago
Loved this. Tannins coming through, so good now. Probably better in a few years; so worth cellaring. Enjoyed looking over the Salish Sea in Mukilteo, WA. — 3 years ago
Wonderful smooth red, looking forward to visiting their winery! Highly recommend. — 4 years ago
This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry and very fruity on the palate.
Showing black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, graphite, vegetables and herbs.
Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
Rich and extracted. Fruit forward with nice complexity.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Very tasty and good by itself. This Single Vineyard needs time to open up properly, so be patient.
I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
15.1% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Lovely blend from Charlie Hopper. Has a nice spiciness to it just like I’m sure his dear grandma was (who the wine was named after). A very nice tribute wine. Good the second day too. Fine on its own, better with food. — 4 years ago
A little over 5 years since my last btl. Pop and pour, and this is in an excellent place. On the nose: black cherry, blueberry, cedar, sweet vanilla, blackberry liqueur. On the palate: very good acidity, sweet blackberry, vanilla, lighter bodied than expected, but density without weight. Tannin on the finish attenuated, which shows some blackberry and black pepper. Yum. — 4 years ago
