Pop and pour. Cork came out in 1 piece with a Durand. Lovely aged gattinara. Soft blood orange peel, dried rose, soft leather and a hint of medicinal herbs. On the palate: acidity still very much alive: leathery sour cherry, barbecue, mint and soft, but still grainy tannin on the close. Fantastic, and probably still has a number of years ahead. — 2 years ago
Well balanced, fruit forward and easy to drink! — 7 years ago
From the hills close to the sea (Lazio), volcanic soil, indigenous grape. Small red fruits, sweet tannins... Drinkable, nice, a real surprise from an almost unknown wine region... — 11 years ago
Great rose with dry finish. Charlotte's first birthday 🎂🎉🥳 — 2 years ago
Azienda Fratelli Pighin was founded in 1963 when brothers Ercole, Luigi and Fernando Pighin acquired a 500-acre estate in the D.O.C. Grave-del-Friuli zone. Straw with full fruit and floral aromas. On the palate tropical fruit flavors, fresh and crisp with perfect balance. No oak on this wine, medium finish ending with fresh mineral ending. Nice value. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago
Blend of Sangiovese (75%), Cab Sav, and Syrah. Drinking well but will last. Great meal at il pelicano outside Porto Ercole. — 10 years ago
