Lovely nose of brambly red fruits, red berries, huge minerals, cranberry bog and strawberry. Really lovely nose that is very layered and ethereal. Terrific power and depth while remaining elegant and classy. Chewy and ripe tannins that are barely sweet and so much energy and length. Big cherry and berry fruit on the palate slathered in minerality. — 5 months ago
Forgot this wine, no indication of vintage except on the cork! A flashy earthy dark fruited presentation straight out of some wilderness, firm almost woodsy palate and good finish. Not at all what I would have thought of as Gamay. Looked like it didn’t present well several years ago. Age difference? — a month ago

Dark fruit in the nose with blueberries, blackberries and boysenberries with a hint of vanilla in the palate. Very smooth and a wonderful Grenache blend. — a month ago

Took a bit of a gamble given the rep for being very long lived. Opened t-8 hours and decanted 3+ hours. Still quite closed. You can get a sense of the depth of the fruit on the nose but overall it is veiled. The tannins are serious. Would never have guessed Beaujolais- one to let rest for many years. — a month ago
