Nice aromatics, ski FF toy darker, with fresh sweet dark cherry, some dark berries, a hint of fresh mushrooms. Very fresh & airy. Enticing.
On the palate this surprises with quite some grip. Fresh acidity, nice purity of fruit and quite a tannic, juicy frame.
A touch hit towards the finish (14% alc) yet a truly nice one. Drinkable, elegant, complete, quite lovely. — 3 years ago

Had this about 6 months ago. Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa was born at the beautiful Villa Vignamaggio in 1479, at the time her father, Anton Maria Gherardini was Lord of this ancient Tuscan Estate. Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh dark/red berry fruits and slight smoky spicy notes. On the palate Black Cherry and Cranberry flavors, well balanced with acidity and fine soft tannins. The finish is long ending with earthy citrus character. — 6 years ago

Nice, aromatic nose full of dark fruit (damson plum, dark sweet cherry, mulberry) and a pinch of exotic spice with cloves + a hint of turned earth.
On the palate this is quite light & on the fruitier side, with a herby bitter character and a nice frame. The tannins do seem a touch dry, yet the whole is very nicely balanced and highly drinkable and very enjoyable. — 4 years ago

Drinking the 2013 in 2019. Great warm weather red. Deep dark garnet color. This wine has Susan Anton legs, long legs that go on forever. Strong aroma of dark ripe plums and cherry. Also, a light ash scent with hints of olive and oak. Complex flavors, that start slightly tart with light tannins and lightly salty. Full flavored, that stays with you for som time after finishing.
