Tasted blind, presented by Sue Bell. I picked Riesling, Australian and missed Porongurups WA. A brilliant Riesling made by Rob Diletti at Castle Rock WA. Lovely aromatics of Musk and Bath Talc. Color of concentrated black tea. Nose is high quality bourbon with sweet apple, mesmerizing aldehyde, paint, powerful alcohol and spice in nasal cavity. Taste is extremely smooth, with toffee like sweetness wrapping the tongue, zest, sweet apple, and a bit salty mineral. Aftertaste has even more toffee sweetness, a bit heat.
