2024 vintage. Crisp and balanced. Minerals, oak, and citrus on the nose, vibrant flavors of pear, apple, and apricots with an evenly balanced Napa Chardonnay oaky finish. Decent Chardonnay, one I would enjoy again. — 2 months ago
Really good blend. Took me only two decades to try this Duckhorn offshoot. Plush and mellow tannins. — 2 months ago

Dark Ruby red color with aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, raspberry and black currant with espresso, cacao, cedar and earthy spice notes. Good balance, lively acidity, fine tannins long ending with fruit and toasty tobacco spice! Nice! — a month ago

Revisiting this on the day we create our first family business, tasting wine from our honeymoon. Couldn’t tell that this wine is 7 years old, with a heavily perfumed nose of artificial carpet, blood orange, and velvet, with hints of pepper and lush dark red fruits to the edges. Color gives away no age either, with a deep rose color and medium body. The tannins remain largely intact on the palate, still grabbing the tip of the tongue, but there’s just a hint of age showing at the periphery, with some butterscotch and caramel notes starting to show integrated well with the loooong blackberry and black plum compote dominating the primary palate, with greater pepper, vanilla, a little coca and earthy notes incorporated within. This ages well, no question. — 2 months ago
Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, deep Ruby color with aromas of berry fruit, spice, cedar and herb notes, aged in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and black raspberry with cedar, wafts of vanilla, wrapped in herb spice notes. Fine soft tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and sweet spice notes. — 5 months ago
This is a highly refreshing non-french SB. Great nose of tropical fruits, smoke, and spice; full-bodied but light and minerally; and a long salivating finish. — a month ago
Dark ruby with aromas of dark red stewed fruits, blackberries, baking spices, and red currants. On the bud, it’s smooth and delicious with more stewed fruits and spices. Excellent with our aged ribeye and baked potato. — a month ago

Lush, dark red and purple fruit aroma. Velvety on the palate. Medium-plus body. Notes of strawberry & raspberry jam, plum, fig, red currant, sugared cranberry, milk chocolate, & a rich, almost brown-sugary finish. — 7 months ago
A great Pinot! One of the best west coast Pinots I have had in a long time. Smooth tannins. Cherry fruit. Restrained oak. A lot to like. — 8 months ago
Dark ripe fruits, hint of vanilla, well balanced tannin , pair with expresso cheese is heavenly. — 9 months ago

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Deep purple in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose of black currants, black plums, light cedar, black tea, tobacco leaf, spices and light chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, currants, oak, light licorice, spices, dark chocolates, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Merlot from Napa Valley is still very young, but already enjoyable, even by itself. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced and tangy. Showing nice complexity already, tangy and interesting.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years, and has good potential to become a 93+ point wine.
Wine Spectator 92 points.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 78% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 15 months in (40% new) French Oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
