From the small Grosse Lage vineyard of Berncasteler Doctor, this Kabinnet tips the sweetness scale at medium dry for my taste, yet still manages to be delicate. Enticing nose of orchard and tropical fruits, honeysuckles, with touches of flinty mineral note. Very long finish. I think it needs at least another 4-5 years to show properly.
Interesting notes about the winery: it’s named after the widow of Dr. Thanisch (Wwe.). The original winery was divided into 2 equal properties in the 1990s: Wwe. H.Thanisch – Erben Thanisch and Wwe. H.Thanisch – Erben Müller-Burggraef. — 4 months ago
Crisp and bone dry German Riesling perfect for hot days. This trocken from the Pfalz is a great example of those German wines. Delicious, but not for everyone. — 2 months ago
Deep honeyed citrus, well balanced. — 2 months ago

This is actually first Cabernet Franc I ever tried, and I have to say that I came off with a good start. — 4 months ago

Pretty nose of rose and violets, soft blue and red fruits, touch of cocoa, hint of fresh herbs, velvet in the mouth, smooth and lively grippy tannins that makes you want to go back for more, black rock and soil. — a month ago
